Vac Truck & Water Blast Technician

This program teaches wet/dry vac truck operation, water blasting, industrial cleaning, and hazardous worksites for a variety of worksites.

The apprenticeship program is earn while you learn, and every participant in the program will have a job.

As an apprentice, you will take part in classroom instruction as well as on the job training. At least one (or more) journeyman worker will supervise each apprentice while working on the job to instruct them

WATER BLASTER/VAC TECHNICIAN RATE INCREASE SCHEDULE

60%: 0-1000 OJT and less than 72 Class Hours

70%: 1001 OJT and in excess of 72 Class Hours

80%: 2001 OJT and in excess of 144 Class Hours

90%: 3001 OJT and in excess of 216 Class Hours

To Graduate: 4032 OJT and at least 312 Classroom Hours

CONTINUING EDUCATION

All members of the IUPAT are eligible to pursue advanced career training and even college credits in our program. The Finishing Trades Institute offers continuing education programs for its members that allow them to earn college credits toward an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree.
